In 2024, the Arab Initiative for Sustainable Development Goals (AISDG) continues its efforts to advance the 2030 Agenda across the Arab region, focusing on a variety of strategic activities aimed at driving sustainable development. These activities align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on issues that are critical to the Arab world, such as water security, energy, and socio-economic development. Key activities include:
1. Capacity Building and Training:
- AISDG has expanded its training programs for local governments, civil society, and the private sector to build capacity in areas like climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy. These training sessions help equip stakeholders with the tools needed to implement sustainable practices that align with the SDGs.
2. Project Implementation and Support:
- The initiative continues to support the implementation of specific projects that promote sustainability. For instance, in energy and water conservation, AISDG collaborates with governments to support solar energy initiatives and water management programs in desert areas.
